Located just outside Duchesne Utah, Starvation Reservoir is the impoundment
where the current Utah State Catch and Release record Carp was caught by Dee
Rounkles in September of 2000. The Carp was 33 1/4 inches long and was
released alive and unharmed back into the reservoir.
Information from Utah State Parks:
Starvation Reservoir offers 3,500 acres of year-round fishing and boating fun
four miles northwest of Duchesne on Highway 40. A 54-unit campground, sandy
beach, modern rest rooms, showers, group-use area, and fish
cleaning and sewage disposal stations are available. Primitive camping is allowed
at designated areas around the reservoir.
